The DVD/CD player plays your DVD-Video movies and CD-based music, including MP3 files written to recordable CD-R or CD-RW. Disc features include repeat and random play, DVD parental controls, forward and reverse chapter/track skip, and scanning within tracks.
The supplied shelf speakers employ Bose's Articulated Array system with a patented driver configuration to provide clear, lifelike sound and an even sound coverage not always possible with conventional designs. This technology reduces acoustical dead spots and lets you hear the full frequency range of music and speech from small and unobtrusive speakers.
In the Bose Acoustimass module, 2 downward-firing drivers give you powerful performance for the lowest audible notes and effects. And proprietary Bose technology ensures that you hear with clarity the proper balance of deep lows from all channels for music and movies. Hide the module almost anywhere, even behind furniture, and all the sound seems to come from the small cube speaker arrays.
Other features include AM/FM tuning with 50 preset stations (25 FM, 25 AM), a sleep timer (1 to 90 minutes), and console input jacks for connecting other source components (such as a VCR, DSS, CD changer, or tape deck).

The ALFiE features a DVD/CD slot that has DVD, DVD-R, DVD+R, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 playback. An iPod dock is featured at the back of the unit and can be closed when not in use. The ALFiE also features an AM/FM radio with digital tuning as well a dual alarm in which you can toggle between waking up to the radio or your tunes from your iPod. Touch-sensitive controls are found on the top of the unit, which can manipulate basic functioning. And a fully functional remote control takes care of the intricate features available on the ALFiE.
The Roth Audio ALFiE features a high-quality audio setup with a 2.1 amplifier and speaker combination. The ALFiE 2.1 speaker setup provides two front-firing speaker as well as a down-firing subwoofer that can be found underneath and in the belly of the unit. Plenty of Playback

High-Resolution Video

On the back you'll find an auxiliary RCA input, along with a digital optical input for a straight digital connection--perfect for TV/cable connections with multi-channel audio.
Superior Sound Quality
This receiver provides five satellite speakers and a subwoofer, for 5.1-channel surround sound. That means you just have to play a DVD or connect to HDTV, satellite, or a cable box for a full digital surround experience.
The home theater system outputs 250 watts total power, so you should have plenty of headroom for turning it up and shaking the room a bit.
Easy Setup
The six included speakers are easily connected thanks to color-coded terminals and cabling. Once you've got it set up, a test signal generator will help you balance the level for each channel.
